New Schedule Coming March 1st 

We wanted to share that we have been considering all of the feedback that you have provided in order to create a new schedule with more slcasses to suit your needs – more heated lunch-hour classes, as well as non-heated morning classes and 4:30pm classes! The new schedule starts March 1st so stay tuned!

Doweling Workshop with David Bruni

Saturday, February 27, 2-4pm

Treat yourself to 2 hours of dowel self-massage + yoga.  During this innovative workshop created by the very wise David Bruni, you will learn how to reduce muscle tension and alleviate discomfort using a dowel & your own body weight.  Doweling is a form of self-therapy used to loosen layers of tension and stress that lie beneath the surface of the skin. The sensations created by the dowel are similar to receiving a massage, but you remain in control of the pressures applied. Basic yoga poses will be used to create strength and mobility in the shoulders, hips, and knees. Then, students will employ the dowel to release connective tissue and tense muscles. And with 2 hours to work with, David will be able to address more than what’s possible during a led class, so don’t miss out!!  All equipment provided.

The Art of Lifting Workshop with Mark Morra

Sunday, February 28, 12-2pm

Lifting is a collective effort requiring several muscle groups to be engaged simultaneously. The practitioner’s effort and concentration is intensified, and the end product is light and graceful. This workshop will examine the muscle groups that work together to create a stronger practice with a greater sense of alignment, proper technique, and eventually some lightness. This workshop is led by the always inspiring Mark Morra, and is ideal for all levels of practice.

Intro to Yoga with David Bruni

Saturday, March 19, 2-4pm

This 2-hour intensive course is designed to introduce new students to the physical practice of yoga in a slow, safe and comprehensive manner. A smaller class size allows for more individual attention, detailed instructions (including modifications for all needs and abilities), hands-on adjustments, and questions.  It’s a great workshop for those with little or no experience, as well as continuing students interested in reviewing the basics and reconnecting to the fundamentals of the practice. At the end of this workshop workshop students will be prepared to transition into our regularly scheduled classes. This course may also be repeated.
